La Campirana in Evansville

This is a local business. The name stands for The View. The owner works very hard to make sure standards are upheld and this is very good Mexican food that is so much better than traditional Mexican chains like Hacienda and Los Bravos if you want authentic Mexican and are in Evansville this is the one stop shop. They have a bilingual menu and if your unsure what something is just ask because they are great at telling you what it's about.

Chicken burritos are the best around! They were stuffed with chicken, cheese, and rice. The guacamole salsa is out of this world! One little cup wasn’t enough. As you can see, pico is fresh and colorful. You won’t be disappointed.

The food is authentic with great prices. They even have a rewards system that gets you free drinks and other goodies. They have very fast service too!

Best authentic Mexican food in Evansville! The place itself was super clean! My wife and I had never been here before. The server recommended the flautas and they were incredible! We will definitely be back again!

Modern Cali-Mex at it's best. The burritos are generously sized and tasty. The tamales are good. I haven't worked though many other menu items yet.

You can tell it's very authentic compared to some other Mexican restaurants, my mother and I got some delicious gordita, came out to be $17 which isn't awful but its a food type you don't get everywhere.

This place has a chain restaurant feel when you first walk in, but that changes quickly because they out do any chain restaurant in quality, selection, and uniqueness. You definitely feel like you could be in Mexico, from the bilingual menu with Spanish first, TVs with Hispanic food channels, traditional desserts, an ice box with Jarritos, etc. The service was friendly and quick. I had the burrito with Chipotle chicken and cantaloupe juice, which was excellent. I should have ordered some dessert from the display case. I definitely will be going back soon!

Excellent fresh food for a casual, quick meal

Great food here! The guacamole is especially yummy. They had lots of gluten free, and vegetarian options were beans instead of meat. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Delicious. I love the Jamaica tea! The seasoned pork was my favorite on the tacos. I got a decent amount of food and a drink for 14$ they also have smoothies that look pretty good.

I love the food here, don't get me wrong. My only issue are the tacos are $2.25 for a small 4" shell. Most other places in town sell larger tacos for the same price. That the only thing that keeps me from going here regularly. I want the value to go with the quality. The other items or priced well. We had tacos this size in Amarillo on vacation for $1.50-1.75.

I just can't say enough good things about this place. The food is amazing, authentic, and fresh. They also have a huge array of options--everything from ground beef to tongue or cactus. It's great if you've got a group with mixed tastes.

The food, drink and service was wonderful. We were completely impressed. Everything was very clean. I'm so shocked that it took me this long to try out this wonderful restaurant. We will be returning.

I first discovered La Campirana about 2.5 years ago. I had gotten back from a trip to Mexico and was searching for MONTHS for street tacos that compared to when I was down there. Finally, a friend of mine suggested this place as her husband knows the owner and I couldn’t be happier. I haven’t had anything bad there and have had a friendly, positive experience each time. I tell everyone I know about this little slice of heaven. What’s best is that it’s locally owned and you can tell the owner and staff have a passion for what they do. Thank you, La Campirana for bringing authentic food to the community (and for helping me practice my Spanish 😁)

The food is amazing! I can't give this place a high enough rating too convey how delicious their food is. Atmosphere is comfortable and modern. Staff is friendly. Just yum.

This place was okay. I liked the nice restaurant vibe inside of a strip mall place. I was told to go here and get the enchiladas, they were good, but I've had better. I will be coming back to try something else because I liked this place.

So fresh & delicious! I would have given a 5☆ review, but they left off the guac & sour cream I paid extra for. It was a to go order and I didn't take the time to double check it. Cukes & radishes with a squirt of lime has just become my new favorite fit snack.

Oh my goodness.... This place is like a hidden gem.... I've seen it many times but never eaten here before.... But that ends today!!!! We had a taco, a gordita, street corn, and fruit salad with granola...... The only regret is that I couldn't eat more.... I'll be back again and again....

Mejores salsas, mejores tacos, mejores sopes. From someone that grew up in SoCal this is a refreshing treat for lunch.

1st visit. The place was clean, Food was hot, and quick service. A little pricier than similar restaurants, but compensated by the portion size...with the exception of the tacos. The tacos were tasty but overpriced for the small size. May I suggest a 3 taco special for under $4? Overall, great experience and good tasting food.

The tacos and gorditas are amazing! My favorite meat is the marinated rib (birria). Second favorite is al pastor. Highly recommended.

Food is always made fast, fresh, and delicious. Tacos are a favorite go-to, but everything is amazing. Get the tres leches cake for a treat. All the flavored drinks are superb as well. Staff is friendly and helpful in finding something you will enjoy on the menu.
